Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of bread cut into 1/2 to 1in slices (I prefer egg bread like challah or brioche)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1/2 to 1 teapsoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Directions:
Combine beaten eggs and milk into a small mixing bowl and whisk together. Add dry ingredients and vanilla and whisk again. Place some of the mixture in a shallow soup dish and dip the bread in the mixture on both sides. Place slices on a non-stick skillet and grill until brown. Serve warm and top with warm maple syrup, butter, and powdered sugar.

We can’t take credit for this recipe. It comes from the wonderful website, Break Or Bake. My apologies for it being posted so late.
Ingredients:
- 1 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted & slightly cooled
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°. Lightly grease or line 12 muffins cups.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in chocolate chips. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a muffin comes out clean. Serve warm.

Aqua Velva
- 1 1/2 tumblers green vodka (1 part vodka: 1 part mint)
- 1/2 tumbler gin
- 1 dollop of simple sugar
- 1 tumbler Blue Curacao
- Ice
First make green vodka: Cut up mint and mix in a 1:1 ratio with Vodka and store for several hours/overnight in fridge, and remove the mint leaves through cheese cloth. (If no green vodka “muddle” mint with granulated sugar, which replaces simple sugar, at the bottom of the mixing cup) Fill mixing cup full of ice. Add vodka, gin and blue curacao. Add simple sugar. Mix and pour into a highball glass full of ice with a slice of orange.
